In class on Monday, we will finish up poetry performances as needed.
Homework due Tues 12/18: Final draft of your best poem. Turn in 2 typed copies, one with your name, one without.
In class on Tuesday we will take a Poetry Practice test.
Wed 12/19: Poetry test.
Thurs 12/20: Poetry survivor day.
Fri 12/21 (half day): Awards given out to Poetry Survivors.

Juniors: write one bad new 2nd stanza for Dickinson's "Safe in their Alabaster Chambers"
Freshmen: write on bad poem about a childhood memory in response to Simic's "Prodigy" or Kunitz's "The Portrait." You may not use the phrase "I will always remember." Instead, describe the event with such vivid detail that everyone who reads your poem will automatically understand that you will "always remember."
